I played in 2 bands a few years back. They were pretty terrible, but at the time we were young and we thought it was great getting to play shows and record. 2 of my best friends played in these bands with me. When they grew up, got proper girlfriends, got there own place, got pets etc etc, I think we then finally realised the fun was fading from it all and there was no point in keeping those bands going.....
I used to laugh at the thought of moving out of your parents house, moving in with a girlfriend, paying bills and looking after yourself. Now look at the ones who are laughing at the 21 year old still staying with his parents, with no ambition of moving out or looking after himself any time soon. I'll get my act together like these dudes did. One day. (I hope).
But anyway, the whole point of this right here is to tell you that my friends started a new band. And this time it isn't shitty. They are actually pretty awesome and it makes me really happy that they are finally playing in a good band. I just hope they can get recognition and actually do something with the band in this country. Check them out here -
Defence
There is also another current band from Scotland that I actually like. You can check them out here -
Intentions
A few more bands like this, and we might be onto something here! Faro, watch out!

the fight back
divide
i stand alone
offside
violent response
big gunz of mosh
were all on the go a couple years back.
at the moment there ain't that much happening as you say, intentions, defence, departures there's some powerviolence stuff in perth with xharoldshitmanx and vincent price. aberdeen have got more grindy stuff like ablach and uncalm.
scottish stuff is generally top notch like...
forgot edinburgh:
carve the future, attack the hive and shields up.
chech em...
Nah, there is the odd good band now and again. It all comes down to what I am into as well. I know of all of those bands ovcourse, I started a band with Paul Engage and a few dudes from Glasgow but costs of practicing in Glasgow every week were too much.
Bring back Engage, The Fightback and Divide, then you might have a case haha :)
Who is this by the way? I didn't even know anyone read my blog to be honest.
Sunset Squad are a bit of alright as well to be honest!
